IronyIrony

irony, ironically enough works as most other things do,
it is cyclic
it moves in curved shapes
spins in rhythms and rhymes inside the minds eye.

it is deceit
it is rediscovery
it is the way the light paints the leaves
the way a solitary voice in a quiet tune is playing
barely audible as it is echoing down an alley.

it is raucous banter
words and sounds
it is light illuminating the fountain late at night.

it is ironic that life is always ironic
and always ever present
waiting to rear its head and mouth the words:
told you so
when always deep inside you knew the answer beforehand
yet you still failed to throw proper caut

the colors a night takes onthe colors a night takes on

the colors the night takes on:
a pale hued green
a washed out blue
or reflective glowing yellow-orange
will hit the drains
and cycle down off of streets
from gutters
and into sewers
as taxi's
and buses
trains and trolley's
are passing by overhead
and from your head
the leaking thoughts
are they now just black and white?
like 1 and 2 and 3 and 4?
are they colorless
and odorless
and completely lacking
any and all flavor and zest?
and like the rest
we conform
and become puzzle pieces
or clones
drones carrying out the work
of a queen
merely existing in the scenes
asking always: what do you m

And finally the moment has come,
Not surprisingly this late into the night,
The clock strikes 3:05
And I can feel the pull of sleepiness,
The complete and utter lack of desire to
Continue straining my eyeballs
As I stare at the computer screen.

And why now,
As I am wishing I could fall asleep,
Would such vivid lucid dreams come to mind?
Such strange yet simple desires flood my head,
And leave me wondering and pondering
And asking: why oh why?

The small photos will fall,
slide off of walls,
Onto my bedroom floor,
And I, laying upon the carpet
Staring upside down at

My third visit to Rockwood Farm and second visit while under the lovely autumn foliage...this was snapped much later in the day than the previous Rockwood Farm Revisited: [link] and I think I kind of like the newer version better. Things to keep in mind: both were shot utilizing different cameras and editing software as well as my own skills in editing have improved. In any case, a penny for your thoughts? All criticisms are welcome :] Thanks...

Wow, what great skill to take such a magnificent picture! I feel as though I am driving down that road. The colors are beautiful and the scenery all flows together. Thank you so much for posting! I absolutely love it!
